Frequently Asked Questions

[taƴto ɗaɗi wiki]
How long does the approval process take?
Most requests are reviewed within 1 to 2 weeks. However, if additional information is needed, a coordinator will reach out on your talk page.
What happens if my request is rejected?
Rejections usually happen if the budget is exhausted for the month or if the eligibility criteria aren't met. You are welcome to re-apply in the following cycle after addressing the feedback.
Can I request data for personal use?
No. This initiative is strictly for activities that contribute to the Wikimedia movement and open knowledge.
How is the data sent?
Depending on your region, data is sent via direct mobile top-up or a voucher code. Details will be handled privately through the "Email this user" feature.
Is there a limit to how much I can request?
While there is no hard limit, we aim to support as many people as possible. Requests between 2GB and 10GB per month are the most common.
